My first few weeks!
June 21st, 2016Hello, my name is David Venniro and I am interning here at the Lazy Bike Tour Company for the summer.
They have the best bikes around! I’m here from the United States, and I have lived in New York for my entire life. I was quite nervous when I first arrived and started my internship. However Hugh, Paul, and Anna have welcomed me with open arms and I am truly lucky to be working here with them. Based on what I have heard from the other student I came over here with, I landed a great gig! I am very excited to have the opportunity to be here, and I am making the most of it.
Dublin is a beautiful city with a wealth of history, and characters of all types. Everywhere you go you can expect to find street performers. I’ve seen magic tricks, live music, juggling, and living statues. I thought they were actually statues until one of them sneezed, which took me by surprise. The food here in the city is amazing. There are different restaurants all over the city with every different kind of food you can imagine. The countless number of pubs always gives you a place to stop in and have a drink.
There are many beautiful places outside of the city of Dublin as well. So far I have visited the Cliffs of Moher, and the Wickow mountains. Both places were breath taking and have really inspired me to travel more, and see what the world has to offer. Be sure to bring your umbrellas if you plan on visiting Ireland.
I miss my Beautiful girlfriend, family, and friends back home greatly. Being away from it all on your own really shows you what is truly important in your life. The things I took for granted suddenly become things that I wish I had back in my life. Being here in Dublin has been a great experience so far and has helped me grow as a person.
